Subject: Childrens Allowance

I am in receipt of this allowance for my 2 children. I have no problem with this either being taxed or means tested - although if it is means tested how do you make it fair when one family €1 below the threshold gets it and one with €1 over the threshold doesnt get it.

I also understand it is possible to receive childrens allowance for children that are not even living in the state! How is this possible or even allowed - surley this needs to be looked at and stopped.
